Rocky Mountain Element C50
Colour: Bad to the Bone / Smokin' in the Boys Room
Short description
The same fast and capable Element platform, with a stronger component package for riders looking to step things up.
Full description
The Rocky Mountain Element Carbon 50 takes the lightweight, efficient Element platform and turns the dial up with a higher-spec component package.
Like the C30, the Element C50 combines a Smoothwall carbon frame with 120mm of rear travel and 130mm up front. The result is a bike that pedals efficiently and feels quick under power, while still having the stability and confidence needed when the trail gets technical.
Rocky Mountain's Ride-4 adjustable geometry gives you the ability to tune the bike's handling to suit your riding style, while the SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain provides a wide-range 12-speed setup for everything from long fire-road climbs to steep technical pinches.
The C50 also steps things up with a RockShox Pike RC fork, Fox Float DPS Performance rear shock, carbon handlebars and powerful SRAM G2 R 4-piston brakes.
It remains a bike aimed at riders who don't want to choose between "fast uphill" and "fun downhill".
Around the Shoalhaven, that's a pretty handy combination.
Whether you're putting in a big day on the trails, chasing your mates through flowing singletrack or occasionally finding yourself somewhere slightly more ambitious than planned, the Element C50 has the efficiency to get you there and the capability to enjoy the way back.

Smoothwall Carbon frame and rear triangle

Best suited to: Riders wanting a lightweight and efficient carbon bike with enough suspension and capability to properly enjoy technical trail riding.
Why we like the Element
The Element hits a really nice balance for the riding we do around the Shoalhaven. It's efficient enough that you're not regretting your life choices halfway up the climb, but capable enough to have some proper fun on the way back down.
