Rocky Mountain Instinct C70 AXS
Colour: Grey/Beige
Short description
A seriously capable carbon trail bike with electronic shifting, carbon wheels and the versatility to make the most of the trails around the Shoalhaven.
Full description
If you're looking for one bike that can handle a bit of everything, the Rocky Mountain Instinct C70 AXS makes a pretty convincing argument.
With 140mm of rear travel and a 150mm RockShox Lyrik Select+ fork, the Instinct sits right in the sweet spot for aggressive trail riding. It climbs efficiently enough for long days in the saddle, while still having the suspension and geometry to feel confident when the trail gets steep, rough or fast.
The Smoothwall carbon frame is paired with Rocky Mountain's Ride-4 adjustable geometry system, allowing the bike's handling characteristics to be tuned to suit different terrain and riding styles. It also features a two-position rear axle, giving further flexibility depending on your preferred wheel setup.
The build is stacked with some serious kit, including SRAM's X0 Transmission wireless drivetrain, carbon wheels, a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate rear shock and a OneUp dropper post with up to 210mm of drop on the larger sizes.
The Instinct is one of those bikes that doesn't force you to choose between climbing all day and having fun on the way back down.
For the trails in and around the Shoalhaven, that makes it a particularly good fit. We've got plenty of flowing singletrack, technical sections, punchy climbs and trails where you want a bike that can handle a bit of everything without feeling like overkill.
Basically, if you want one bike to do most things really well, the Instinct is worth a serious look.
